The Role: The Director/Sr. Director, Growth Marketing (SEM, Paid) will lead paid performance marketing strategy and programs to drive high-quality acquisition and revenue growth. This leader will own paid search, social, display, media, programmatic and emerging digital channels—building a performance engine that scales efficiently across geographies and products. This role requires deep digital channel expertise, analytical precision and creative agility to translate business goals into scalable performance programs, guide multimillion-dollar investments with confidence and focus on results, and inspire a team that thrives on experimentation, efficiency, and impact. What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark. Performance Marketing Leadership • World-class expertise in performance marketing (including search, social, display, video) and media planning with rich understanding of the search landscape and synergies (SEM, SEO, GEO). • Own the global performance marketing strategy, defining channel mix, audience segments, and investment models, and manage a multi-million $ annual media budget with focus on MRR, Spend/MRR, and MER efficiency. • Set quarterly and annual growth objectives across channels, manage and optimize digital marketing budget to maximize ROI and achieve business KPIs of MRR, Customer Count, and Spend/MRR. • Define and develop and execute acquisition strategies across paid – search, social, display, video and emerging - channels, including Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, arenaflex. • Drive experimentation frameworks for bidding, creative testing, and audience segmentation powered by AI and automation. • Partner with Web and Cart teams to ensure web experience, site architecture, and landing pages are optimized for both performance and experience. Analytics, Attribution & Optimization • Be the owner for the single source of truth for paid performance dashboards, layered on systems like GA4, GV360, TradeDesk, Adobe, SFDC etc. • Partner with other Marketing teams and Finance to refine attribution models and inform spend reallocation decisions. • Drive automation through AI bidding, predictive LTV models, and real-time performance reporting. Team & Cross-Functional Leadership • Lead and mentor a global team of paid media professionals (in-house + agency). • Partner with Product Marketing, Lifecycle, and Brand teams to ensure unified messaging and optimized journeys. • Collaborate with Finance and Strategy to ensure performance plans align with quarterly targets and Rule of 40 principles. Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed. • Deep Experience: Typically, 10+ years in digital marketing, with roles roles overseeing paid media and growth strategies with deep operational expertise to guide and lead team. • Technical Stack and Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in harnessing new-age AI platforms and analytics platforms (e.g., arenaflex Analytics, SEMrush, Adobe stack, Ahrefs) to derive insights and inform strategy. • Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams toward achieving common goals. • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term strategies that align with business objectives and adapt to changing market conditions, and evolving technologies with AI capabilities. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in the web hosting or SaaS industry. • Proven track record of scaling digital marketing initiatives in a high-growth environment.
