Job Title: Data Modeler (Database Administrator Advanced) Location: Lincoln, Nebraska Summary: Seeking an experienced Data Modeler to lead the design and development of enterprise-scale data models that support cross-functional initiatives across healthcare and human services domains. This role requires deep expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, with a strong understanding of public sector data environments and healthcare systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, technical proficiency, and a collaborative approach to unify data across complex systems and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify data and information needs across programs. • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support enterprise-wide integration and reporting. • Create and maintain a comprehensive information architecture blueprint, including metadata, data flows, and lineage. • Standardize and unify data definitions across disparate systems, departments, and reporting functions. • Analyze existing systems and business processes to determine structural data requirements. • Facilitate working sessions with business leads, SMEs, and IT teams to gather requirements and validate models. • Define and socialize arenaflex-state data models and architecture with key stakeholders. • Implement data governance practices, including standards, ownership matrices, and quality controls. • Support the implementation of physical data models and optimize for performance, scalability, and usability. Required Qualifications: • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in data modeling, including enterprise-level projects. • Proven experience with healthcare or HHS data in a public sector or government setting. • Strong knowledge of relational, hierarchical, and Big Data modeling concepts. • Proficiency with Erwin or similar data modeling and metadata management tools. • Familiarity with data integration, interoperability standards, and data quality frameworks. • Solid understanding of data architecture principles, including storage, security, and governance. • We're looking for a self-motivated team member who can work independently in a fully remote Agile environment - someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates proactively, and drives progress without needing close supervision. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Certification in Data Architecture or Data Modeling is a plus.
