<b> ABOUT THIS POSITION </b><br><br>The City Clerk Department is responsible for upholding public trust, protecting local democracy, and providing access to matters of public interest. They do so by managing elections and annexations, preparing council agendas and meeting notices, maintaining public records, and processing liquor and regulated business licenses.<br><br>The City of Phoenix City Clerk Department is seeking to fill a Council Reporter vacancy on the Council Support Team. This Council Reporter position reports to a Management Assistant II and works with a team of professional staff responsible for the creation and publication of all City Council meeting agendas; management of Requests to Speak and eComments for all Formal City Council meetings; staffing all Formal City Council Meetings; ensuring City compliance with the Arizona Open Meeting Law by monitoring, reviewing and posting nearly 3,000 meeting notices annually; drafting meeting results and minutes for all Formal City Council meetings, and completing other Council meeting support duties, as assigned.<br><br>This position requires regularly working evenings a few days per week and staffing meetings at off-site locations, as needed.
