In the heart of the White City Innovation District, Imperial is bringing together academia, business and the local community in a new model for university-led regeneration. At White City Campus we are delivering a world-leading centre for innovation that is designed to fuel discovery, collaboration and enterprise.

This newly created role will support our ambitious plans, delivering communications and marketing to raise the profile of White City Campus amongst key audiences, as well as communicating and engaging our existing and future communities of staff, students and businesses.  

As part of Imperial’s central communications division, you’ll join a talented team of communications professionals and play a key role in telling the story of Imperial.

What you would be doing

  • You will play a crucial role in raising the profile of Imperial’s White City Campus and the ground-breaking work that takes place here.
  • You’ll be working with our community of innovators and founders, researchers and students, as well as helping to connect Imperial’s development of White City Campus to local communities.
  • You’ll be a key part of a team focused on the campus, forming connections across Imperial, with external partners and stakeholders to build excitement about the development of White City Campus and its ongoing development.
  • As our campus continues to expand, you’ll be helping to curate the campus experience, supporting events and activations, and ensuring everyone who works, lives and studies here is part of the campus community.
  • You’ll have responsibility for key campaigns, ownership of communications channels and assets, and be a trusted advisor to the broader team.

What we are looking for

  • You will be an experienced communicator who can combine innovative, strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
  • You will bring knowledge of innovation, higher education or property development – and apply this to a dynamic environment which combines them all
  • Your knowledge of communications and marketing, including branding and events, will be applied to a wide variety of projects which you’ll lead and deliver
  • You’ll be a confident communications professional who can represent and champion Imperial to a diverse range of internal and external audiences
  • You will have experience in delivering communications and marketing strategies, devising impactful campaigns and commissioning content
  • Your collaborative approach will ensure you develop successful networks, across the university and with external and commercial partners
