Capital Accountant

Duration: 3-6 Month Contract

Location: London Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
Day rate: £300 - £400 per day Inside IR35

Sector: Not-for-Profit

A well-established charity is seeking an experienced Financial / Capital Accountant with strong Fixed Asset Register (FAR) expertise to support a key project.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone highly detail-orientated who is confident working with large volumes of financial data and can quickly get up to speed in a busy finance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation of a Fixed Asset module
  • Migrating and validating a large Fixed Asset Register
  • Reviewing asset data line-by-line to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Reconciling and validating asset records across financial years
  • Identifying discrepancies and resolving data issues
  • Working closely with the finance team to ensure a smooth transition to the new system

Person Specification

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA) preferred
  • Strong experience managing or working with large Fixed Asset Registers
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with complex data sets
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically through large volumes of data
  • Self-sufficient and comfortable working in a delivery-focused contract role
