<strong>Description<br><br></strong>Amazon Manufacturing Services (AMS) is building internal manufacturing resources to scale rapid concept through deployment of strategic hardware initiatives within Amazon. We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Lead with deep background in development, manufacturing and delivery of industrial products to drive engagement with key internal customers.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Develop and deploy mechanism to identify and prioritize strategic opportunities that benefit from internal manufacturing resources in a force multiplicative way. Continuously measure effectiveness of mechanisms.</li><li> Influence senior leadership through articulating AMS differentiation. Communicate our vision and seek customer and stakeholder inputs to drive our value proposition.</li><li> Successfully operate in a complex customer ecosystem consisting of multiple stakeholders with differing priorities. You will leverage your deep experience working within the Amazon technology deployment landscape to drive successful outcomes for our customers.</li><li> Communicate with direct and indirect stakeholders to identify and report results, trends, and financial impact of business opportunities</li><li> Develop programs to drive AMS engagement within site Stores and AWS operations teams.</li><li> Be a key influencer in capacity planning and new manufacturing technology investments within AMS by articulating impact to our customers and AMS.</li><li> Create scalable, long-term mechanisms to drive product features in collaboration with Engineering and Product teams to improve overall customer experience lie speed and precision of AMS decisions.</li><li> Influence, lead and orchestrate go-to-market motions, mechanisms, and initiatives for manufacturing solutions across our internal strategic customers.</li><li> Define and establish best practices for customer discovery and success in the manufacturing space</li><li> Author strategic documents (e.g., PR/FAQs, QBRs) and contribute to longer-term documents (e.g., OP1/3YP)</li><li> Make tradeoffs to negotiate actionable solutions that balance customer needs with technical feasibility</li><li> Mitigate long-term risks associated with manufacturing initiatives</li><li> Hire, mentor, and develop others within the organization<br><br></li></ul><strong>About The Team<br><br></strong>Amazon Manufacturing Services (AMS) provides pan Amazon internal design and manufacturing resources to solve unique hardware needs within the Amazon environment. Since our founding in 2022, AMS has manufactured over 200,000 parts, serving needs across multiple Amazon organizations like Stores, AWS, Project Kuiper and, Lab126. Our success as a team is driven by our ability to work concurrently across stakeholders to deliver speed and precision for our customers. We operate out of a Seattle based ISO 9001 certified industrial manufacturing facility.<br><br><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations</li><li> Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams</li><li> Experience owning and leading significant projects from concept to deployment</li><li> Experience working with fast-moving, high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions tailored to unique business environments</li><li> Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership</li><li> Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation</li><li> Bachelor's degree in technical fields like industrial engineering, manufacturing or equivalent experience</li><li> 6+ years of experience in business development, technical product management, or customer success roles related to manufacturing and delivery of complex industrial products.</li><li> Demonstrated ability to rapidly pivot based on historical data and future projections<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Master's degree in engineering, management, or technology</li><li> Experience driving adoption of new and disruptive technologies</li><li> Experience influencing senior leaders/stakeholders</li><li> Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time</li><li> Experience in segmentation and developing customer profiles</li><li> Experience with internal business development at Amazon within Amazon Operations and/or AWS.</li><li> 3+ years operational knowledge of decision making processes within Amazon Operations and/or AWS.</li><li> Background in manufacturing technology, automation, tech deployment or industrial engineering<br><br></li></ul>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.<br><br>Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
