<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>Job Description<br><br><strong>What is the opportunity?<br><br></strong>As the adjudication associate, you will act as a credit specialist and adjudicate credit applications submitted to the retail and automotive adjudication centers.<br><br><strong>Please Note</strong>: We welcome applicants from outside of the city of Montreal, however bilingualism is required.<br><br><strong>What will you do? <br><br></strong><ul><li>Communicate a credit decision to various retail business partners</li><li>Apply and follow RBC policies and procedures for credit</li><li>Maintain a balance between customer service and business risk</li><li>Negotiate with retail partners (Mortgage specialists, Advice Centre and Branches) about complex products, while maintaining a balance between protecting the bank's assets and business development</li><li>Provide complete verification of credit applications and required documentation</li><li>Partner with others in a dynamic and changing environment, where teamwork is a priority</li><li>Ensure the standards of service quality are met<br><br></li></ul><strong>What do you need to succeed? <br><br></strong><strong>Must-have<br><br></strong><ul><li>Retail credit or lending experience and a thorough knowledge of credit and risk policies</li><li>Professional call handling experience and ability to make outbound calls to retail partners</li><li>Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs</li><li>Able to adapt to a changing work environment, be committed, organized, effective and accountable</li><li>Flexible to work shifts within the business hours of 7:30am-7pm Monday to Saturday, with the understanding that most shifts will be 10:30am-7pm, Monday to Friday and 7:30am-4pm on Saturdays</li><li>Proven experience in credit risk mitigation and related decision making<br><br></li></ul><strong>Nice-to-have<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience as a lender in the branch network</li><li>Strong negotiation, analysis and problem-solving skills</li><li>Developed analytical skills and a strong team spirit<br><br></li></ul><strong>What’s in it for you?<br><br></strong>We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
