Dow invites outstanding doctoral and postdoctoral scientists to apply by May 1, 2026, for participation in the BEST Symposium - Building Engineering & Science Talent. https://corporate.dow.com/en-us/careers/work-at-dow/best-symposium.html Date: July 27 - July 29, 2026 Location: Virtual BEST Symposium is an industrial research career conference sponsored by Dow and aimed at underrepresented U.S. doctoral and postdoctoral scientists. Applicants must have a doctorate degree received by November 2027. Please note that Post Docs will be considered if the doctorate degree was obtained after July 1, 2024. Preferred disciplines include: – organic chemistry – inorganic chemistry – physical chemistry – analytical chemistry – polymer science – materials science – chemical engineering – mechanical engineering – physics – data science - statistics - other closely related fields. To be invited to attend the BEST Symposium, you must apply online. Your application must include the following attached documents (you will only see a prompt for the resume, but you will be able to attach all documents within the guidelines listed below). All the following documents must be included for the application to be considered. Resume or CV including list of publications and presentations Career statement indicating your research interests and goals (1 page) Research summary (1-2 pages) Recommendation letter from your advisor. Advisor can email recommendation letter to best@dow.com. NOTE: If you cannot attach a file, please email the document(s) to best@dow.com. There will not be a prompt to add additional documents. You can add up to 5 documents total at the time of resume attachment. For maximum individual benefit, a limited number of applicants will be chosen to participate. This is a multi-day virtual event. Participants in the virtual conference may be considered for future employment at Dow.
