This position will support the promotion of South Florida's 21 varsity sports programs through innovative and engaging social media content that connects with Bulls fans across the nation.<br><br>As a Social Media Assistant, you'll play a key role in enhancing the Bulls brand by creating real-time content, assisting with media coverage during games, and helping to grow our online presence across platforms such as Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, and YouTube. <br><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong> <ul><li>Assist with content creation, including graphics, photos, videos, and copy for USF Athletics social channels and digital assets.</li><li>Cover live sporting events (home and select away games) with real-time social updates and written articles. </li><li>Monitor trends and provide input on emerging platforms, styles, and engagement tactics.</li><li>Help organize and schedule weekly content calendars.</li><li>Work closely with the communications, marketing, and creative teams to ensure brand consistency.</li><li>Participate in brainstorms and creative planning meetings.</li><li>Track and report on social media analytics and engagement metrics.</li></ul> <strong>Qualifications</strong> <ul><li>Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital trends.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed (game coverage).</li><li>Basic photo and video editing skills; experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva a plus.</li><li>Passion for sports and familiarity with NCAA athletics is highly encouraged.</li><li>Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul> <strong>About Us</strong><br><br><b>Working at USF</b> <br><br>With approximately 16,000 employees, the University of South Florida is one of the largest employers in the Tampa Bay area.
