About the Role • The Associate Brand Manager, Innovation (ABM, Innovation) is a key contributor to driving rapid, consumer-led growth within our Chocolate/Sweet Snacking portfolio. Reporting into and supporting the Senior Brand Manager, Innovation, this role helps bring new Hu products and line extensions to market quickly, efficiently, and commercially. • This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role designed for an early-career marketer who thrives in a high-growth environment—someone who enjoys problem solving, moves with urgency, and is eager to take ownership of projects that directly impact the business. The ABM, Innovation will gain broad exposure to end-to-end innovation, from insight to shelf, while helping scale a growing brand. Key Responsibilities: Innovation Execution & Ownership • Support and execute the innovation roadmap in partnership with the Senior Brand Manager, Innovation. • Help prepare documentation and presentation materials for monthly Project Approval Meetings (PAM). • Own day-to-day execution of assigned innovation projects, driving progress across multiple workstreams simultaneously. • Help translate consumer needs, trends, and commercial objectives into clear product concepts, positioning, and packaging briefs. • Work closely with the Project Manager(s) to manage commercial timelines, deliverables, and approvals to keep projects moving in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Consumer, Category & Competitive Insights • Analyze consumer, category, and competitive data to identify white spaces and growth opportunities • Monitor emerging snacking trends, new product launches, and competitive innovation activity • Turn insights into practical, action-oriented recommendations that balance speed, feasibility, and impact • Work with Insights team to support related consumer insights and concept testing initiatives Commercial & Financial Support • Support development of innovation business cases, including volume, revenue, margin, and launch assumptions • Track innovation budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Product and Packaging R&D teams, Supply Chain, Operations, Insights, Sales, and Finance to bring products to market quickly • Serve as a key point of coordination across teams, proactively flagging risks and helping remove execution barriers • Help prepare materials, updates, and recommendations for cross-functional discussions Launch & Post-Launch Optimization • Support go-to-market execution for innovation launches, ensuring alignment across Marketing and Sales. • Track post-launch performance and gather consumer and market feedback. • Help identify optimization opportunities and apply learnings to future innovation efforts. Qualifications: Required • Bachelor’s degree. • 3-5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, innovation, or a related CPG role. • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to inform decisions. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset. Preferred • Prior innovation experience including supporting new product launches or commercialization in CPG strongly preferred. • Familiarity with syndicated data tools (e.g., Nielsen, SPINs). • Passion for food, snacking, and emerging consumer trends. • Prior experience in a remote work environment preferred. By 6 Months • Independently manages day-to-day execution of assigned innovation projects. • Contributes insights and recommendations grounded in consumer, category, and financial understanding. • Supports fast-moving business cases and launch plans, adapting as priorities shift. • Is viewed as a reliable, proactive partner across functions. By 12 Months • Plays a meaningful role in delivering one or more innovation launches or rapid test-and-learn initiatives. • Demonstrates a clear commercial mindset, understanding how innovation decisions impact growth, margin, and scalability. • Is trusted by the Senior Brand Manager, Innovation to take ownership of workstreams with minimal oversight. • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve speed, execution, or growth impact. Salary and Benefits: The base salary range for this position is $86,900 to $119,515; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
