Essential Functions: • Under the direction of a leader or senior team member, learns and performs data extraction assignments for Actuary, including the parsing, joining, standardizing, cleansing, consolidating and filtering of data across inter-related data platforms to create desired outputs that can be leveraged by business users. • Assists in the design of rating algorithms and processes for rate compare and related processes. • Leverages and communicates existing and available self-service tools and reporting solutions to satisfy customers' data needs. • Participates on cross-functional projects, including pricing enhancement research teams, line of business deep dives, in-depth industry vertical analysis, and completing branch business planning. • Identifies data quality issues and communicates issues to the appropriate technical steward for data fixes. • Ensures assigned processes and projects are compliant with data governance policies and statutory requirements. • Proactively engages in professional development related to the insurance industry, technology, data platform, reporting tool changes, statistical analysis, data management, and computer programming skills. Education & Experience: • Bachelors degree, preferably in computer science, actuarial science, data science, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience • *Candidates may qualify for a Data Analyst II if they meet these requirements • Bachelors degree, preferably in computer science, actuarial science, data science, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience • Four years of experience in data management, data analysis, or insurance analytics or related experience • Insurance experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI and Word • Basic programing capabilities preferred, including exposure to at least one computer language, such as R, Python, SQL, Visual Basic, JAVA or PostGreSQL • Familiarity with analytical and data terminology, concepts and theory preferred • Good analytical, investigation and problem-solving abilities • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including documentation • Strong human relations and customer service skills • Good attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality This offer from "WORKOO.NET" has been enriched by Jobgether.com and got a 72% flex score.
