Administration Assistant

Salary: £12.21 per hour (£23,809.50 per annum)

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Service: Regent College


We are currently recruiting Full Time Administration Assistant to join our Team at Regent College.

Regent College is part of National Care Group. We provide specialist education to young people aged 16 to 25. As a small independent college, we develop bespoke study programmes that promote independence support individual goals. We support young adults with learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviours and complex needs. As a SEN learning support worker, you will empower learners to develop vocational, social and independent life skills. At Regent college the majority of learning takes place in the local community. Learners have the opportunity to volunteer or take part in work placements which allows them to develop important skills for the world of work. The role of an Administration Assistant

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Setup and coordinate meetings, conferences and events (including booking travel).
  • Assist to arrange events (including Celebration Day and End of Term Events).
  • Meet and greet visitors (including managing /coordinating diaries).
  • Maintain contact list.
  • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office, managing emails and correspondence.
  • To work with SMT members to ensure all paperwork is completed for new intakes and all external reviews.
  • Perform general clerical duties (keeping an account of the documentation details) to include but not limited to: photocopying, editing, proof-reading, faxing, mailing, taking and distributing meeting minutes, shredding and archiving.
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic database.
  • Complete purchase orders for office supplies; maintain and replenish stock; determine inventory levels & anticipate needed supplies; verify receipt of supply.
  • Provide Reception and phone cover as required; coordinate annual leave and cover for sickness/absence.
  • Implement office policies & establish standards and procedures.
  • Organise office operations and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good level of I.T literacy including Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to understand and follow instructions & policies.
  • Able to use initiative and have the ability to work to process.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills to all business levels.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
