Position: 3rd Shift Desktop Engineer – Nights (Hybrid) Overview 3rd Shift Desktop Engineer - Nights (Hybrid) Newark, NJ 07102 Details • Engagement Type: 6 Months Contract • Start Date: 09/29/2025 • End Date: 03/31/2026 • Interview Type: iLinc Web Cam Interview Only • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Primarily Remote) • Work Hours: 3rd Shift | 40 hours/week • No. of Openings: 1 We are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer (3rd Shift) to join Client's 24x7 IT Support team. This fully remote position is responsible for providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and related hardware/software systems. Responsibilities • Provide overnight technical support via phone, email, and remote access tools. • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and resolve end-user incidents. • Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN. • Utilize ticketing system to log and manage service requests. • Manage Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange configurations. • Support and troubleshoot network printers and MDM platforms (Airwatch preferred). • Maintain accurate asset inventory and documentation. • Coordinate with IT teams and vendors on system maintenance and repair. • Participate in on-call rotations covering one weekend shift and holidays when required. • Follow ITIL processes, including Incident, Request, and Change management. • Open outage bridges and escalate major incidents when needed.
